SHAVUOT

Acts 1 : 3 To them He showed Himself after His suffering was over, and by many signs He proved that He was alive, for forty days He repeatedly appeared. and talk to them about the kingdom of God.

Before Pentecost or Shavuot Jesus for forty days often appeared to His disciples to prove that He lived and shared about the kingdom of God. This indicates that what Jesus said is very important to us.

The purpose of Jesus coming into the world is to redeem us and transfer us from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light of His Son. Because in the beginning God created man to be in His kingdom or His reality.

After Pesach we celebrate the feast of Pentecost or also in Hebrew called Shavuot.

Shavuot celebrations can not be separated with Pesach. Shavuot or Pentecost is also called the Fifty Day after Pesach.

And before the fiftieth day for forty-nine days after Pesach the Israelites were taught to keep remembering and saying what God had done in Pesach, which was that they came out of Egypt and entered the promised land. After they came out of the land of Egypt, God wanted the Israelites to be free from their inherent identity. The identity in question is a nation of slaves. God wants this chosen nation not to bear the identity of a slave anymore but to have an identity as the Son of God (Son of God).

After they came out of Egypt the Israelites had to pass through the desert and this was a journey of slough off and circumcision, in which Egyptian culture had to be released before they entered the promised land.

Like the verse above why Jesus must continue to talk about the Kingdom of God because this is the promised land that He has prepared for us His children. And after the fiftieth day the Holy Spirit, the helper Spirit, is sent to help us have a new identity and thus we will come to the promised land or enter into His kingdom.

Now, what we have to do is we have to welcome the Holy Spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to change our identity. If our identity is still a slave, then we will never enter the promised land, then we will continue to be in worldly slavery where our lives will continue to fall into sin even our Christianity will not experience a breakthrough.

The Holy Spirit sent by the Father is also the Spirit of Truth who will bring us into all truth

John 16 : 13  However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come,,  He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

If we are led by the Holy Spirit then we will be brought into all the truth where in the truth our identity will be imprinted, telling things to come, how wonderful our Father is. After the redemption we are also equipped with His Spirit so that we can see the future that God has prepared for us since the world existed. The future that God has prepared for us is the promised land.

The Holy Spirit is a gentle Spirit, the Holy Spirit will surely gently lead us to be in the truth. When we rebel, the loss is on our side. Because, when we disobey the Holy Spirit, our true identity is long formed.

Maybe each of us already knows a lot about the Holy Spirit but has our identity changed? Because if our identity has not changed then we will continue to revolve in slavery or trouble because there is no authority that makes us win from the power of sin.

In the end we will be disappointed in God. Now is the perfect time to rise up and welcome the Holy Spirit again. Then, begin to ask the Holy Spirit to lead our lives so that we can be changed and we receive the portion that has been ordained by the Father from the beginning.

Remember the Holy Spirit is the Guarantee of everything that is provided for us. God has prepared a future for us, the promised land.

2 Korintus 5 : 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.   bagi kita.

Believe that before Jesus comes the second time He wants us to live happily in freedom from slavery. Therefore, do not grieve His Spirit who is in us but love the Holy Spirit and walk with Him, allow Him to give us an identity so that with that identity we will enter into His unshakable kingdom. hallelujah
